Our Story

WHY GOOD RITUAL?

Good Ritual started with an observation.

We are surrounded by ways to stay busy, entertained, and connected, and yet so many of us feel increasingly isolated, distracted, and disengaged from the people and places around us.

It also started with a feeling…that something is missing.

More opportunities to linger. To play. To talk to someone we don't already know. To share something. To participate. To feel part of something larger than ourselves.

And then came the question:

What helps people feel connected?

For more than fifteen years, I've worked in schools, nonprofits, and communities focused on belonging, culture, and connection. Again and again, I've found that people thrive when they have opportunities to gather, share stories, care for one another, and participate in something larger than themselves.

Good Ritual is an exploration of that idea—and of what our everyday rituals might look like if more of them turned us toward one another.

Part social wellness project, part community experiment, and part neighborhood gathering place, Good Ritual explores how drinks, hospitality, storytelling, music, play, and shared rituals can strengthen connection and belonging.

Because taking care of ourselves and taking care of one another don't have to be separate practices.

Good Ritual creates opportunities for people to practice community together.

EXPERIENCES THAT HELP PEOPLE PRACTICE COMMUNITY TOGETHER

Good Ritual creates and curates gatherings, activations, and shared experiences rooted in connection, hospitality, play, creativity, and care.

GOOD FEST RITUAL

Hydrate. Cover up. Keep going.

A festival-care ritual combining hydration, useful goods, and small acts of care that help us stay out there together.

PRACTICE JOY

Play is a pretty good way to meet your neighbors.

Playful public-space activations that give people an easy reason to stop, participate, and connect.

COMMUNITY THROUGH SONG

Connection doesn't always require conversation.

Participatory musical experiences that invite people to sing, listen, create, and experience what happens when we make something together.
